PSVR 2 patent does not reveal a first look at the design of the headset
Sony has already confirmed that in the background on the new PSVR 2 hardware is being worked. According to rumors, the headset should still be unveiled in December 2021 and appear in 2022. But even before the new VR experience is presented to the public, it could be that the design of the headset was already pre-lacted.
How could PSVR 2 look
Where the leak comes from? The previously revealed design of PSVR 2 comes from Sony itself. In a patent that was published on October 21, 2021, a novel design of a VR headset can be seen. Twitter-User Okami Games shares the find of Distrito XR in a Tweet:

What looks like the headset? The VR glasses is smaller than the predecessor model. The wheel with which the side rubber closures were set was also removed. Instead, there is now a mechanism with clip-like anchorages.
But the rear headrest part has won something in size in contrast to glasses. Maybe the enlargement of the rear match could indicate that now a complex vibration system should improve the immersive VR experience. But this is pure speculation.
It is and remains a patent
So this is the new VR headset? Although the patent was officially submitted by Sony, that does not mean that this is actually the new PSVR 2 headset. Many patents only serve to secure their own ideas before the competition prevents.
This means that not all the ideas that create it into a patent can also be implemented. Accordingly, we should enjoy the design with caution before Sony officially reveals the PSVR 2 headset.

We know that about the PSVR 2 design
Unfortunately, neither the price nor the publication date of the PSVR 2 are known, but some details have already been betrayed for hardware. PS Move s successor controllers have a futuristic design and should use some functions of dualsense. That could also apply to the headset itself. An elderly patent speaks of the VR glasses to give you haptic feedback.
