Because her fies is wait, WoW Classic takes you the / spit away

Spit is in Wow Classic probably to nasty. The emote will soon be taken away the players - at least if you want to spit someone.

On the PTR from the coming patch of Burning Crusade Classic, the players have detected a small but significant change. There is apparently an adaptation to the emote system. The spitting command can no longer be applied to other players in the future.

What was done with the emote? Apparently Blizzard has changed programming for the emote / spit (/ spit). The emote is no longer spent in the chat if one encounters another player. But the emote works fine if you do not have a player in the goal. Then the message "[Spielername] spits on the ground as usual."

Why is the emote deactivated? An official justification for this does not exist from Blizzard so far, but players have an obvious suspicion. In Burning Crusade Classic, it has prevailed on many realms, play players with the shop mount. For many players, the shop mount stands for the bad, new changes from World of Warcraft, which you do not want. Therefore, players who use the shop mount are often spiked.

Some have even set a macro or parts of an add-on so that players are automatically detected and spit with the riding.

This should clearly fall under "harassment", on the other hand, players feel bad with the shop mount, if they are always spiked. Blizzard could just want to avoid that.

More News around Wow and Blizzard are here:

  • Wow reacts - all allusions to Afrasiabi were removed
  • WoW Classic screams at the drop rates and the players have noticed it
  • More than 1,500 employees face Blizzard, want to "be the change"

This is how the community reacts: In the sub -peddit of World of Warcraft, you are making fun of this change. For the players seems to be clear that one will just agree on another emote, such as / SLAP. In addition, it is still possible to simply write the emotes by hand, so the deactivation of the emotes does not fulfill great benefit. Accordingly, cynical and sarcastic are also the reactions:

  • "Fractions and peoples peace was achieved within World of Warcraft by this change."
  • "People just agree on another emote. Where should that lead? Are all emotes disabled at the end? Giant leap at Blizzard. "
  • "You did it, Blizzard. You have solved your toxic corporate culture. "

Please note that it is still a change from PTR. In the live game this change is not yet available.

Do you think this procedure of Blizzard for a good idea? Or does not it bring anything because the players simply use another emote?
