Far Cry 6: Players have problems with the PS5

Actually, Publisher Ubisoft promised that buyers of Far Cry 6 PS4 version received a free upgrade to the PS5 version. This gives you access to the NextGen version of the EGO Shooter without paying extra. However, several players report that exactly this upgrade does not work for them.

As can be read, among other things, in the official Ubisoft forum, the problem concerns only the buyers of the disc version of Far Cry 6 (Buy Now 54.99 €). The first reports came from Games from the UK, which wanted to upgrade their disc version over the PlayStation Network, but could not find a corresponding function for this or unable to activate. Little later reports of buyers from other European countries such as Greece and Germany also followed to fight with this problem.

As has now turned out, the trigger lies with a wrong country version. So some British dealers have received and sold several copies of the Russian version of Far Cry 6. This works fine. However, if the affected players log in to the PlayStation Network to enable the PS5 upgrade, the country settlement of the versions fails. The same thing is probably happened in other European countries.

Support Ubisoft has reported to speak in the official forum and is trying for a solution. Do you also struggle with this problem and can not activate your free PS5 upgrade for Far Cry 6? Report us in the comments!
