Ubisoft Planning Driver Streaming Series para Binge

Ubisoft has announced that it will resurrect its popular driver video games for a series of transmission that will be launched at Binge.com. Ubisoft Film & Television is developing the project, which will focus on the protagonist of the series, John Tanner. As in the games that inspired the series, Tanner is a detective in charge of incognito to discover the plans of a criminal enterprise. Unfortunately, very few additional details about the project have been revealed and, at this time, a launch window for the series is not known. At an entrance on the blog, the Ubisoft Television Development Chief Danielle Kreinik spoke about the next series.

Our mission in Ubisoft is to give life to our games of new and exciting ways and create content set in the world, culture and games community, Kreinik said. Working with Binge will allow us to carry a series of driver directly to the most passionate audience to see how this franchise comes alive».

The Driver series was launched for the first time in 1999 at the original PlayStation. That game introduced Tanner to the public and the character returned in multiple sequelae. Unfortunately, the series has almost disappeared in recent years. In 2014, Ubisoft launched Conductor: Paradise fast boat, a free game that was launched in iOS and Android. The game presented Tanner on a secondary role and is no longer available for sale. Hopefully, the transmission series will result in a renewed interest in the games! Driver seems the perfect concept for a series of transmission, and if it works well enough, it only makes sense that Ubisoft recovers it. Many fanatics would love to see a new delivery that takes advantage of the modern hardware.

The adaptations of live action video games have not always had the best record, but things seem to be changing in a very big way! Movies and videogame-based programs are receiving a much greater attention than ever, and upcoming adaptations such as The last of us and RESIDENT EVIL: Welcome to Raccoon City seem willing to offer faithful opinions about the original material. It remains to be seen if Driver will be successful, but with Ubisoft Film & Television developing the series, fanatics can probably expect a faithful shot.
