The Slime Rancher switch launch shows once again the SHOP SALES POWER
Earlier this month, the popular Sandbox title in First Person Slime Rancher was launched in Switch under a new appearance of 'plotable edition'. The game (which is quite charming, by the way) has existed for the first time, joined for the first time in early access in January 2016 and was officially launched on several platforms in August 2017, however, the SWITCH launch this month He has seen him reach new heights.
The director of Slime Rancher, Nick Popovich, has revealed in. That even though the game is on its sixth year, enjoyed its best sales day on August 11, the day it was launched in Switch Eshop. Nintendo treated the game with a little marketing under his Indie World brand, certainly helping to take the game to the eyes of more potential players.
We are half the sixth (!) Year of existence of Slime Rancher and yesterday was the best sales day in his story, said Popovich after the launch of the game. Thank you all for supporting our plotable edition in Switch!

The news reminds us of several independent success stories that we have had the pleasure of covering in the past, as the transcendental occasion that was the launch of Untitled Goose Game, when Alwa's Legacy sold more copies in Switch in just over a week. Managed in four months in Steam, and several stories of shared developers in 2018 that painted Switch Eshop in a very positive way.
Not all games can enjoy the same success, of course, but it is always good to know that smaller studies take full advantage of Nintendo platforms.
