A new weapon for launching a snowball, garments and a Permadeath mode meeting on 10th December.

Christmas in a few weeks but Ubisoft Massive's The department 2 is early on celebrating. On December 10, Title Update 6.1 will be released and contains a new event called Situation: Snowball. In essence, the players must hunt enemies with Christmas hats.

This unlocks a weapon that fires snowballs. If you sign up before the event ends in January, you can get your own Christmas hat. Other cosmetics can be purchased as part of the Silent Night Fashion Agency. Caches will be available, which contain 35 new items, each receiving a free key to open. If you own a Year One Pass, you will receive a total of four keys.

However, the largest part of this update is the addition of hardcore mode. They create a new agent who takes over all other game modes, from the dark zone to slaughtered trains. If you die, your playing is finished. Hardcore players can only play together and have no access to other items. If you reach Hardcore Level 2, you will receive a free yolo hat. The mode is at starting in the beta phase. The developer asks for feedback.
