Cod Vanguard really plays as Modern Warfare, but brings the correct changes
The author of game, Maik Schneider, had a good feeling about Call of Duty: Vanguard even before the great multiplayer revelation. But after the first long session of him in the multiplayer of the new world war shooter, he can barely wait for the launch.
Call of Duty brings a new full-price title to the market each year and knows how to generate enthusiasm among its players; So also with me. But the two cods of recent years, Cold War and Modern Warfare, they could only awaken a little real enthusiasm in me before the launch. Other experiences that I lost the launch of some predecessors were too painful.
With this skepticism of Cod, he had trained for years, I also examined the developments around the new Call of Duty: Vanguard in recent months and I have to say: Leave the doubts, brings the launch, no matter what was before.
About the author Maik: For game I have already accompanied 2 important launches of Cod premium titles and I can still remember my thoughts before the last releases. For me, Modern Warfare was nothing more than a sensible restart, but it was fun for a couple of seasons. But the Cold War failed after a brief advertising hype. Great scenario, but little content: a frustrating mixture.
Now we went towards my third release and finally I feel a deep need to advance the release date for tomorrow. 16 Maps 6VS6, Scenario of the Second World War that includes a great campaign, Rachas of deaths, combat rhythm, Warzone Update: I have no idea how I should endure until November 5.
That was alluded to: for game I was allowed to try parts of the beta version and sniff the game for almost 3 hours, 2 of which were pure gameplay. The organizers told us when to enter into what way, so we play domination, combat to death death, confirmed death and the new patrol mode in 4 different maps in 6VS6.
The new combat pacing with the Blitz setting was also part of the test. At this point, at the latest, he was convinced: my exaggeration was booming. All the information we have about the multiplayer mode can be found here in the general description.
Vanguard again more like Cod MW - and Warzone
Why do Vanguard look more at Cod MW again? The new Vanguard uses a renewed graphic engine from Cod MW and you can see that in the game. The Game of Weapons and the Movement recall a lot of the COD of 2019, also because the tactical sprint and the placement of weapons are back in the game.
Why is that a reason for exaggeration? On the one hand, because I really enjoyed the cod MW feeling. On the other hand, because Warzone uses the same engine. And if you ask me about the best cod in recent years, I will answer Warzone.
He had been looking for the right Battle Royale for me for a long time and finally I found a home in Warzone. So many things fit here, although not everything. The tramping situation in particular depresses me and the slow flow of content in the first year after the launch,
But when it comes to gameplay, there is almost nothing to complain, even the author of game, Jürgen Horn, had to admit it recently. I like the feeling of weapons that are not difficult to control and that I can bring my own cargo to the game. But also the little things, like the duel of reappearance in the Gulag, as well as the cash system and orders.
The fact that the new premium-cod is based on this feeling of game makes me smile. My first matches in Vanguard have confirmed this feeling of play and continue to promote my anticipation.
combat rhythm: I did not know that I really wanted
What is the rhythm of combat? Vanguard presents this new game option and allows me to adjust how many players I want in my party. There are a total of 3 options for this:
- Tactical: Classic Cod Experience with Players 6V6
- Assault: There are between 20 and 28 players on a map
- Blitz: Between 28 and 48 players can accelerate on a map
Why is that a reason for exaggeration? Standard maps for normal 6 against 6 matches have become increasingly large in recent years. So there was always more time between the engendro and battles, but for me cod is a fast shooter with constant shootings. Start the game, look for a coincidence, shoot.
However, due to large maps and also by adding more layers to the maps (keyword verticality), it was lost a lot of speed. Sometimes you can spend entire minutes in a fight against teams without seeing an opponent. Not as I imagine my rapid battle in the middle.
And this is where the combat rhythm comes in, in English Combat Tempo. It is a very simple solution for one of the greatest problems I have had with COD in recent years. Because I can decide with how many players I want to play the maps and modes that were actually designed for the classic games of 6 against 6.
Even with Cod MW, I was happy with all modes of the playlist that simply led more players to normal items. Now I can decide at any time and at any time with how many opponents and team members I want to face a game and feel a bit like Shipment or NuKetown.
Team Deathmatch with 50 people - Where can I sign?
Finally Killstreaks again - A pity on the scoring system
What are the stripes? Call of Duty is known for your Killstreak system, which rewards me when I get many deaths followed without dying. That makes your pulse accelerate, leads to anger when you fall, but it also brings a good dose of hormones from happiness when your own helicopter shaves at half a dozen opponents in the area.
Why is that reason for exaggeration? The current Cold War is based on a scores streak system with which I accumulate points instead of deaths. The idea behind this was pretty good, so players should also benefit from the bonuses that, otherwise, would not accumulate great racks of deaths. However, the implementation generated less tension and, therefore, was also fun somewhere.
It is true that many deaths are once important with the scoring system, because that earn more points and, therefore, stronger support machines faster. But that kick is missing when you look at your streak bar and think: One more death, then I'll have it.
This slow and complete line on the side did not picked me up; The first sliding pump with 5 deaths in Vanguard multiplayer mode directly.
Superior Bonus: Warzone ad lets me acknowledgent
That does not fit everything with Vanguard multiplayer mode, but there was also information about Warzone in the great revelation transmission and, as Battle Royale fan, I lost one.
It was already clear that there was a new map with Vanguard and had already been announced the new anti-trap system. But when the first images of the new map passed through the screen, I needed a brief moment to understand what was happening. The new map of the Pacific seems good enough to eat.
A first look at the coast of Warzone Pacific.
Almost in a subordinate clause, the Associated Creative Director Amos Hodge added that Warzone would take charge of the VanGuard technology and engine and that all this would come relatively to Vanguard launch on November 5.
Warzone's announcement only lasted less than 2 minutes, but I almost seemed a box office success, with luck with a happy ending for the launch.
More about Vanguard:
- Cod Vanguard begins the beta this weekend: launch, download, dates
- Vanguard shows a new multiplayer trailer: Reveal collects more than 20,000 I like in an hour
- COD mode: Vanguard makes it really difficult for campers, we know about Patrol
Call of Duty fulfilled, at least in terms of advertisements and my first impressions. I have not been so exaggerated by a cod for a long time and, please let the whole game be good. I'm not worried at this time, but for a teenager who screams that's normal, I think.
I also enjoy reading your opinions on the subject. Did you picked up the first impressions? Do you feel something like exaggeration or Vanguard leaves you cold?
