Wieso Returnal weit weg von 4K ist

Entwickler Housemarque hat im Vorfeld immer angekündigt, dass ihr Roguelike-Shooter Returnal auf der PS5 eine Auflösung von 4K mit 60 FPS erreichen wird. Neueste Erkenntnisse von Digital Foundry zeigen, dass das zumindest nativ nicht ganz stimmt und Returnal sogar in einer deutlich niedrigeren Auflösung intern gerendert wird.

The picture is then high-scaled to 1440p (by temporal upsampling) to bring it to a 4K image ultimately by reconstruction methods, such as checkerboarding.
